Main of the job

Responsible for the process of Analysis, Selection, Evaluation and Management of the most competitive suppliers in the market to meet the needs of products and services for Alstom Transport customers committed to excellence in Quality, Costs, Terms and Technical Specifications (QCDT) at as in Sustainable Development, Professional Ethics and Continuous Process Improvement policies.

Organizational Report

Reports hierarchically and functionally to the Sourcing Manager of services Spain & Portugal.


Manage the panel of suppliers in line with the Sourcing strategy.

Perform market analysis in search of alternative supply sources.

Analyze order requests in order to select the suppliers to invite (RFQ / X). Comparative analysis of offers.

Lead negotiations with suppliers to establish agreements and price catalogs.

Involve suppliers to contribute ideas in order to reduce costs and savings.

Responsible for compliance with suppliers regarding QCD as well as Alstom policies and requirements.

Support in the management of Non-Conformities (NCR).

Claims for Non-Quality Costs (CONQ).

Propose ideas for the continuous improvement of

the Purchasing processes.

Support Supply Chain for the execution of Orders, Monitoring and Control.

Railway Safety:

Assumes the responsibilities defined in the "Prevention Plan EHS-ES-MAN-001" Assumes the responsibilities defined in the instruction ?Responsibilities in Rail Safety? HRM-SV-ES-WMS-o19):

? Ensure that maintenance safety requirements are met in all matters related to materials and services.

? Informs the organization of possible breaches in terms of security by suppliers in order to provide a solution, or if necessary seek alternatives to them.

? When a possible breach of a security requirement by a supplier is identified:
- Collaborates in requiring the necessary actions to ensure compliance. - Notify its manager of any improvement initiative or problem detected in the field of security.

Training Required

Industrial Technical or Superior engineer and/or degree in economic or compensatory business with experience in the sector.

English and French (valued).


Experience in similar positions in the field of Sourcing or Supply Chain.

Experience in Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain and planning will be valued.

Knowledge and experience in:
negotiation, ERP Systems and E-Sourcing tools.
