The Senior Accountant will have responsibility for ensuring accounting is accurate and complete and recorded in line with Company's policy and process, Spanish Local GAAP and US GAAP as well as local legislation, including but not limited to the following tasks:

Timely completion of month end close activities, including sales cut-off tests and account reconciliation preparation.
Support in month end close call and for Balance Sheet review commentary
Support with the preparation of VAT returns, Intrastat reporting, Statutory books maintenance, and any other Spanish statutory requirement.
Support Purchase to Pay operations ensuring local affiliate adherence to standardize processes and including Travel & Entertainment compliance spot checks and month end close OPEX accrual validation.
Validate customer rebates calculations performed by Customer Service for the different therapeutic areas.
Preparation of official surveys.
Support to the AR department as appropriate, including SOX controls and recovery of old bank guarantees for public tenders.
In general, any other Financial administrative supporting tasks as needed.

You will build strong and productive networks and partnerships with internal stakeholders including management and staff in the affiliate, EMEA HQ finance and functions, Financial Shared Services (FSS) based in Cork, Tax and Treasury functions and other EMEA and other finance and functional teams. Perfil Buscado (H/M/D)

Relevant experience in a large and complex international commercial organization in a similar role supported by FSS
Experience in biotech or pharmaceuticals industry a plus.
Degree in Economics, Business administration or Accounting.
Strong technical accounting knowledge of Local GAAP and a good knowledge of US GAAP as well as all key aspects of controllership in a listed company.
Must be able to apply accounting knowledge to day-to-day operations and assigned projects.
Good communication, networking and influencing skills -manage a variety of stakeholders at all levels effectively, confidently and proactively keeping them up to date.
Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
Able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment, meeting deadlines in an accurate and timely manner.
Able to manage own workload, prioritize, plan and organize assignments and work under strict timelines and pressure.
Must be detail-oriented.
Demonstrate ability to work both independently and in collaboration with others with an active role in different projects.
Systems - Good understanding of Oracle ERP or similar ERP system.
Proficiency with Microsoft tools (Excel, Outlook, and Word) is required.
Fluency in Spanish and English.
