CNC Production Intern - Fusion & ShopBot Focus

Requirements:
CNC Experience: Familiarity with CNC machines. Familiarity with ShopBot a plus
Fusion 360: Proficiency in Fusion 360, especially in designing complex, curved 3D objects.
A background in Industrial or Physical product design, Software, or Cyber Physical Systems a plus.
Responsibilities:
We're on the lookout for a CNC Intern to join our creative team. This is a hands- On, in- Erson role that starts with a full- Time onboarding week and transitions into part- Time work, typically 3- 4 days per week, or as needed to meet our weekly production goals. You'll be working with a ShopBot CNC machine and ShopBot 3 control system software. Your role will encompass a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to
CAD: Fusion 360: Designing using Fusion 360. This involves experience in designing intricate, curved 3D objects and adjusting feeds, speeds, and various bits to optimize the production process.
CAM: CNC operation/Cutting, Milling, Engraving: Conducting the iterative manufacturing of a physical product using a ShopBot CNC router and possibly a 5- Axis CNC mill as well.
Combinatorial Generation: Updating algorithms for the generation of unique designs.
User- Centric Approach: Collaborating with user research and incorporating user feedback into the production process. You'll also update relevant documentation to make it user- Friendly and serve as an instruction manual for others.
Process Improvement: Continuously iterating on processes to enhance production efficiency and scalability with the resources at hand.
